Johnny depp
by Adrienne Gallant

When i think of johnny
i am so happy
my eyes glow my heart beats faster and faster
everytime i think of johnny

i think he doesnt even know i exist
does he even care
does he want to meet me
or even know im there

Johnny means the world to me
i wish i could meet him
if i could have one wish
thats what it would be

he has so many fans
would he even bother caring about me
im just some far away girl
from canada thats wants to meet him
so badly i cry
and cry
because i know everyday that he still loves me from the
bottom of his very heart!
and it means the world to me
he makes me happy

After Blow

By George Jung

Winds of change blew
A hole through my head
Scattering all my dreams.
It's all so Goddamn mean
And strange.
I'm going outside in.
Can't you see I'm blind?
Walkin' on stilts
You triple-crossed my mind
And rode into my heart.
You say you're looking for a Savior,
I'm just a beggar counting change.
Do you remember when the world
Was an ocean of dreams
And every ride was a wave?
I'll always burn in the sun
While you stand in my Shade.
It's sunrise on sunset
Where every Taboo is holy
Before and after BLOW.

The above poem is reprinted by permission from George Jung, "with George's blessing."  The poem appears in George Jung's autobiographical manuscript, Grazing in the Grass Until the Snow Came, which he wrote while in prison and from which sprung Bruce Porter's book Blow and the movie Blow starring Johnny Depp. If you would like to learn more about George Jung, go and visit George Jung's web site at http://www.georgejung.com, where you can order his fascinating manuscript, which also features more of George's poetry. -- Langley

Poem by Christine

Music starts everything
Knocking the bucket over,
spilling the water all over the floor
flooding our souls and starting life
Life starts with music, music starts life
Music starts everything

Music is what started this transformation
Music is what started the subject of our dreams
Music is what inspired this writing
Music from back then, before we knew the dreamer's face
Before I was born, music started this path which my life would follow
And here I sit, engulfed in the life-giving music

Give me time to explain what i say
How much time do I need? How much time do I have?
repeated segments of music
nineteen seconds, thirty, all I have
clips of lyrics, a guitar solo
All the evidence I have of the music
the music of a revolution
Vive la revolution!
Our lives are shaped by music, mine and his
His music started his revolution
My music shaped what I am
His gift was given to me through the offspring of his music
If he didn't have music, he would never have made his gift
his gift, my life, my gift to him in return
music. art. life. music.
