A Poem
by Amy
You lay in Sleepy Hollow
and then you hear a scream.
You try to ignore me but it is hard
because I lie next door.
You come, and when you walk in
you are just a shadow.
When you walk closer,
I feel your hand touch my face
and your lips touch mine.
I can feel your body touching mine
and in the morning I think it was all a dream.
But I see you next to me
and know you love me.

You Give Me Asthma
by Kayla
I hate waking up in the morning,
I just want to stay in bed.
To face the world once again,
and avoid you in my head.
I walk and walk but go nowhere,
you see me pass, I'm not quite there.
You shut the door in my face,
I bleed for you but leave no trace.
Pull the strings to my heart,
my addiction for you is curious and stark.
I walk then run to you,
on knives of red, I have no shoes.
You walk on clouds, beautiful you,
I try to follow but I fall through.
I crash into the wall of your skin,
you burn me off with your sin.
I burn for you, my ashes scattered,
you sweep them up, surely not flattered.
When you touch me, you touch so hard,
you move your hand and leave a scar.
I breathe you in, you contaminate me,
with your disease that makes me bleed.
I'm sick for you, from you miasma,
and you're the cure, you give me Asthma.

JD Poem by Victoria Black
There was a time, when I was nothing
At least I felt that way
Even a time when my face was on fire
But did it stop my journey, no way
There was a time, when I was lonely
Not one date in high school
Yes, I was a loner, some say, a rebel
I even dropped out of school
When I grew up, I made changes
I took chances, not knowing where they would lead
And in the end, I succeeded
Now, I usually am the lead
In front of me I see an ocean of faces
Still, in my heart, I am all alone
Until the day I found Paradis
In this, I have found a home
A new love has bloomed
From us, as beautiful as a flower
What will be the name?
What will describe a love like ours?
Lily? Wild and untamed
Rose? A beautiful site
Melody? A wondrous sound
That all together, is Paradise
