Ode to Jack Sparrow
by Jessi M.

High upon the mast of a sinking boat, Jack stands.
His peers judge him for being who he is.
For being a pirate.
They don't take the time to see what's deep
within him.
Beyond flesh and blood.
For inside, he's a good man.
He's honest, yet a bit conniving.
He knows when to be honest, and dishonest.
Being marooned on an island, he defied all odds.
He gave his former commrades a suprise.
At the worst odds for others, he gave them a taste of what he's really like.
Deep inside, he's like you and I.
He cares for others, besides himself.

You
by Bigbigfan77

Today I caught your spirit,
Your talent and your fame,
I caught your every word,
And only just caught your name.
Today I caught your feelings,
Your pleasure and your shame,
I caught your every move,
And only just caught your name.
Tomorrow I'll still know you,
Tomorrow it'll be the same,
Tomorrow I'll still be an adoring fan,
And tomorrow I'll still know your name.

Untitled
by Margaret

I follow the man with knowing fingers,
willow branch Cloaked in mist,
a womanly shawl and strong notched arms
thick with scars
With scuffed brown boots that know how to walk
and rounded lips who kiss till they're raw
With sooty black lungs that don't want to be clean
and deep well eyes that seem to see
With a free mind that takes orders from none
and a kind heart that breathes rich red blood
With glowing skin whipped by time
and long brown hair that’s pushed aside
His words woven through my mind this is the man
I follow;
peruse the essence of his life.

Dark
By Vivien L.

I know it's all been said before
It's nothing new, never anything more.
You have the whole world Wrapped around your finger.
But in the chaos I know That I'll love you forever.
You don't know me, Don't know the tears I've cried.
You don't hear me, Don't hear my sighs.
Cut in the night.
Does she hold you, when it's dark outside?
Keep you warm, when you're feeling tried?
I hope she does, everything I would
Cause I have no hope that I ever could . . .
Cause you don't watch me,
Don't watch me crawl.
You don't feel me,
Don't feel me fall.
Into the darkness, the black abyss.
Why do I torture myself,
Thinking we could ever be?
Why do I cry for you?
When you've never cried for me?
The thoughts ring through my head,
haunting my mind, chasing it down,
Tying it down to you.
But the answer, rings pure and clear,
into the dark void outside,
Because I love you, like millions more.
I know everything about you,
Except why you cry,
And what you think about.
You don't love me,
Don't love my laugh.
You can't hold me,
Can’t hold me back.
From love.
From loving you.
You could feel me,
If there was a way.
You could know me,
If there were not time and space.
You could hear me,
If I was loud enough.
You could be near me,
If you needed my touch.
You could love me,
If you could love me . . .
If you could hear this song,
Echoing off the walls.
Echoing off the walls.
Loving you from afar,
to make you hear me, now...
While I sit here,
In the dark.....
Love...ing....you
