Hope does have her brave moments. So she wrote to Meeps on the board and asked if she wanted to go to the cinema in the Danish city of Aarhus to see Chocolat on March 16, 2001 - and Meeps did. In order to recognize each other when they met, they both waved around with big pictures of Johnny Depp.

They were so satisfied with this meeting that they agreed to try again. They decided to be blown away by Blow on August 19th. Cebel joined Hope's Johnny Depp group called "The Viper Room at Groupcare" and therefore also got an invitation, but she had already made another Blow-appointment. Hope's friend, Nice, asked to come too, but it was too late to arrange.

So after a lot sensible stuff and utter nonsense writing back and fourth on Groupcare, the four women decided to go together and see The Man Who Cried in Aarhus on September 1. But the day before they figured out that the film would only be shown in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The four women went very sad.

Now they had nothing to do that Saturday. Blowing a date with Johnny. Could it be more sad?

But Hope and Cebel weren't about to give in - they wanted their Johnny fix and a chance to get together and get to know one another, so they tried to persuade Meeps to play host for them and for Nice in Aarhus. Which they succeeded in, even though Meeps warned them sincerely, that it was the beginning of Festival Week, and the town was teaming with people. But that did not scare them.

They agreed to meet at the railway station. Meeps brought another Johnny Depp picture in order for Cebel to find the right group of women. They walked down the main street looking at shops and people and ended up at Meeps' second home - her dear infamous library, where she had cleaned all the screens in anticipation of their visit. (Meeps always licks the screen when it shows a Johnny picture).

Hope and Meeps had brought all their clippings from articles, pictures, etc., about Johnny Depp. Cebel had brought an interview, she was translating into Danish from English for Hope's new Danish Web Site about Johnny. Talking about which pictures they wanted to scan for the site and which articles to type or translate, the Web Site ended up being a cooperation between Hope, Meeps and Cebel.

When the library closed, the four women went to a fast food restaurant and consumed each their burger - totally in the spirit of Johnny. They all ended up being very sate and agreed a little walk would be in its place. There was a lot to look at in the town: a street performer doing his worst, stalls selling more or less everything, etc. - and the walk back to the railroad station ended up being a very long one.

Because they had to wait for the trains to arrive, they decided to drink some cokes in the cafe at the station. They all agreed they were so satisfied with the meeting, they would certainly like to do it again - and this was the beginning of a beautiful new friendship...

Meeps waved goodbye to the other ladies leaving Aarhus by train. Inspired by a certain persons' brown eyes, she took a bus to the woods, taking pictures of other brown eyed creatures - normally called deer. Hope and Nice, still suffering from a huge Johnny fix, immediately turned on the computer as they came home. Cebel put on one of her favorite Johnny videos as soon as she had walked the dog.

After yet another bunch of sensible stuff and utter nonsense writing back and fourth on Groupcare, the four women have met again - but that is a whole different story...
